Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA)’s continued support of football in Uganda and the other developing countries has been further proved by the elite coaching course for atleast 30 Uganda coaches from the Azam Uganda premier league clubs and the different national football teams.
A week long course started on Monday morning at FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.
The course fully financed by FIFA is conducted by a FIFA coaches’ instructor Hatem Sausa from Tunisia.
According to FUFA Technical Director Asuman Lubowa, the course has been brought in to help coaches improve on their performance on the pitch.
We appreciate such important courses for our coaches to enable them acquire modern tactics of the game. We want them to empower themselves with more knowledge and trends of modern football
Lubowa.
The five day course is mainly attended by top class coaches from both the Azam Uganda Premier League and the national teams.
Speaking at the official opening ceremony, FIFA Instructor Hatem Sausa said he is already impressed with the participants and sounded optimistic that all the 30 participants will automatically benefit from the course in the end.
Many times African coaches have not had enough facilities when having courses but this one from FIFA is more detailed and simplified. It gives a coach all the modern aspects that can help one understand the new trends of the game.
The Tunisian FIFA instructor remarked.
On the other hand FUFA Chairman in Charge of Technical Matters who was also the chief guest was overwhelmed with FIFA’s plan of developing the game with such courses.
As FUFA, we want to see all coaches handling FUFA Super league clubs with enough technical knowledge. We shall request for more of such courses so as to avail our coaches with modern coaching methods that match with the current trend of football
FUFA Technical Chairman.
BUL FC head Coach Alex Isabirye is delighted for being part of the course.
