Copa Africa U-16 Tournament:
- 2nd – 5th December 2019
- At Mpesa Academy Foundation, Thika – Kenya
The second edition of the under 16 Africa Copa Coca Cola Cup of Nation tournament will be held at Mpesa Academy foundation in Thika from December 2nd to 5th 2019.
12 countries including Uganda will feature at the annual youth fiesta.
The president of Kenya H.E Uhuru Kenyatta will grace the opening ceremony of the three day event.
The Uganda select team that has been selected by the FUFA U-17 Technical team and has been camping at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru for a week prior to the tournament.
This is largely the same team that won the CECAFA U-15 Championship in Eritrea this year with 16 players who played.
The other 4 players trained with the team but did not make the final 20 man team that traveled to Asmara (Mubiru Hassan, Akampa Chriswill, Issa Abdul and Kyazze Frank).
Team Uganda will travel in two batches; first on Friday, 29th November 2019 and on the subsequent day.
This year’s event is for boys only.
