High Court Judge in Lira has on Thursday dismissed the case filed by a group of 3 football fans requesting for a court injunction against the forthcoming FUFA Ordinary General Assembly in Masindi District.
The Federation was give the go ahead for the Assembly to allow the footballing fraternity and stakeholders hold the Assembly scheduled for this Saturday, 5th August 2017 following a ruling today. Lady Justice Rosemery Barebe handled the matter.
The Federation was ably represented by a strong legal team of Ojok Geoffrey Odour and Dennis Lukambi.
‘We are glad for the ruling passed by the judge in Lira. Football has again won’ Lukambi stated.
While the Civil court in Kampala where Mujib Kasule sought a certificate of urgency for an interim injunction on the FUFA Elections has adjourned the case for Friday at mid-day.
Hon. Mrs. Lady Justice Margaret Oguli Oumo adjourned the matter to Friday at Midday when she will pass a ruling whether the application for injunction is urgent to be heard.
FUFA legal team was represented by Counsel Evans Ochieng and Ambrose Tebyasa.
‘We submitted a strong defence and therefore we expect a fair ruling’ Ochieng said.

The FUFA General Assembly is confirmed for Saturday at Kabalega Hotel in Masindi starting at 9 a.m.
