Covid-19: FUFA amplifies drive for Vaccination of football stakeholders

FUFA embarked on the mass vaccination exercise for the football family against Covid-19 across the country.

Having received clearance and backing from the Ministry of Health through the National Council of Sports, FUFA issued a circular for all its Members and football stakeholders to enroll for the vaccination in a bid to curb the spread of Covid-19.

The exercise at FUFA House was for all members of the Executive, Standing Committees, Judicial Bodies, Delegates, Secretariat, Clubs at all levels of both Men and Women Leagues and other stakeholders. However some players and officials have taken the vaccination from upcountry at various Government Health Centres.

FUFA CEO Edgar Watson who led all staff for the vaccination said the aim of the exercise is to try and stop the spread of covid19. He added this is being done in partnership with Lubaga Hospital in compliance with the Ministry of Health guidelines, National Council of sports guidelines, FIFA, CAF and all stakeholders that fall in the game of football.
