FUFA is committed to working with all stakeholders to save the lives of its stakeholders against the wrath of the COVID-19 pandemic. In this spirit, the FUFA Executive approved the recommendation of the FUFA COVID-19 Management Committee to mobilise Government/Ministry of Health (MoH) for all Members and officials of FUFA to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
In executing this measure, FUFA will have wider opportunity as we seek for opening up football activities with better safety.
Vaccination against Covid-19 is not only cheap (free) but improves one’s body immunity, minimises the effects of the pandemic and can easily be accessed from various facilities throughout the Country.
In line with the FIFA, CAF, Ministry of Health and World Health Organisation, FUFA wishes to announce that the MoH has authorised the COVID-19 vaccination of FUFA Members and officials throughout the Country with immediate effect vide ADM:105/309/23.
All members of the Executive, Standing Committees, Judicial Bodies, Delegates, Secretariat, Clubs at all levels of both Men and Women Leagues are advised to proceed to the nearest COVID-19 vaccination Centre and get vaccinated. Every person shall move along with their FUFA Identification and National Identity Card.
The COVID-19 vaccination Card shall, with effect from Tuesday 1st June 2021, be a mandatory requirement for participation in any FUFA organised and/or authorised activity or event including but not limited to:
- Player registration and licensing for any Competition
- Club registration and licensing
- Letter of recommendation and secondment
- Courses participation
- Access to football matches.
