Trial Game Result:
Uganda Cranes 3 – 0 Uganda Kobs
Uganda Cranes registered a convincing 3 – 0 victory over the junior side, The Kobs (U-23) at the Namboole Stadium training ground on Friday evening.
Well converted penalties from Michael Sserumaga and Faruku Miya on top of a late Robert Ssentongo strike handed the Cranes a cutting edge in a trial match.
The match was a build up to Sunday’s International friendly game against Ethiopia at Namboole Stadium and was watched by the FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo who is fresh from a FIFA meeting in Doha, Qatar.
Uganda Cranes Head coach, Milutin Sedrojevic was happy about the response of the team at such a short notice.
“We needed this trial game to test the level of preparedness for the players prior to Sunday’s build up game against Ethiopia” Sedrojevic told www.fufa.co.ug.
The Uganda Kobs team, coached by Frank Video Anyau comprised of a selection of youngsters from the Uganda Premier League clubs and they put up a spirited fight through out the 90 minutes action.
