Crested Cranes conduct light training on return from Ethiopia

The National women football team, Crested Cranes today conducted a light training at the Prisons stadium in Luzira, Kampala.

The team returned in the early hours of Thursday morning from Addis Ababa, where they played but 3-2 to Ethiopia in the first leg of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games qualifier on Wednesday.

On return, the team was ushered in at Sky Hotel in Naalya where they will stay till match day on Saturday at the StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo.

Today, the players were taken through light drills but were interupted by a heavy downpour just like the case when they conducted their final training in Addis Ababa on Tuesday.

‘We are happy with the spirit with in camp but teh two goal are kepeingthe fire burning. I am hopeful we shall take on the advantage of the two away goals to overturn the result and qualify to the next round’ said Head Coach Faridah Bulega.

Uganda needs only 1-0 win on Saturday to qualify to the next round, where giants Cameroon stand in the way of whoever goes through.
