Details of Stadium access for Uganda Vs Tanzania match released as tickets hit market

Entry Fees: 15,000/= (Ordinary), 40,000/= (VIP) & 150,000/= (VVIP)

Pre-match Press Conference: Friday 7th September 2018 at 9.30am

Training 10 am ( Opening 15 minutes only for Media) 

 

Access to Mandela National Stadium, Namboole for the Total 2019 AFCON qualifier match between Uganda Cranes and Tanzania has been released by the Chairman of FUFA International Match Organisation Committee (IMOC) Issa Magoola during the Weekly Press conference at FUFA House Mengo on Wednesday morning.

Magoola together with Kampala Metropolitan Police officials addressed the media and gave a brief about the Saturday 8th September match on entrance procedures for the fans, invited Guests, media, sponsors and vehicles.

In his statement, Magoola confirmed that all vehicles with stickers driving from the fly at the Northern by pass and Bweyogerere  will be diverted to Nassanga  road in Kireka before accessing the Stadium Outer Parking. Only match officials, the two teams and Invited guests will use the Main gate. The 150,000/- and 40,000/- ticket holders will also use the main gate.

‘We are inviting all fans to come and attend the match at Namboole on Saturday. We are in partnership with Uganda Police to see that we have a secure event.  The match will kickoff at 4:00 pm’ said Magoola.

The Regional Police Commander Kampala Metropolitan Police SSP Michael Musani Sabila informed the media that that all routes heading to Namboole will be secured and cautioned all service providers during the event to follow security guidelines.

‘I want to inform the public that all routes to Namboole will be secure and i call upon all the service providers during the match day to abide with our security guidelines.’ Said Kampala Metropolitan Police RPC Sabira Micheal

Kampala Metropolitan Police PRO C/ASP Owoyesigyire  declared that the Uganda Police will ensure all fans in and outside the Stadium are secure.

Owoyesigyire also advised fans  to stick strictly to the match. We shall not accept any groups of fans or individuals who have plans for activities not related to football.

‘We shall ensure that all fans are safe inside and outside the pitch. Bottles or any other sharp objects will not be accepted except for drinks  in the disposables’ said KMP Public Relations Officer Oyowesigyire.

During the press conference, FUFA Finance Director Decolas Kiiza announced that the tickets for the match are now on market going for 15, 000/= (Ordinary tickets), 40,000/=  (VIP), 150,000/= (VVIP).

‘No tickets will be sold at the Stadium on Match day. I call upon all fans to buy their tickets from our selling outlets. We thank the Government for supporting us with a budget for the National team. It is the reason why we decided to reduce the ticket prices of Ordinary and VIP’ said FUFA Finance Kiiza

Meanwhile after the press conference , the sports media were briefed on how they will carry out their assignments on match day.

The  presentation embarked on guidelines on how to access the stadium, media center, the pitch and the mixed zone.
