The FUFA Electoral Committee has announced that elections for the District Football Associations (DFAs) will take place this Sunday, April 6th, 2025, across various districts and the 8 FUFA regions.
The DFA elections will usher in new leaders to oversee district football affairs and elect representatives to the Regional Football Associations for the term 2025-2029. The positions up for election include District Delegates to the Region and Special Interest Groups (Referees, Players, Coaches and Schools).
During a press conference held on Friday, April 4th, 2025, at FUFA House, FUFA Electoral Committee Chairman Mr. Bwire Mathias confirmed the completion of the nomination process and the confirmation of the list of candidates ahead of the polls.
Bwire was accompanied by Electoral Committee Member Salim Katumba and FUFA Legal Manager Denis Lukambi, who represented the FUFA CEO.

‘We are ready for the polling exercise starting this weekend. Our records indicate that some District Football Associations have unopposed candidates after a thorough verification and nomination process for different positions and will be declared winners. However, elections will only be conducted where there is competition to decide the delegates to the Regional Assembly’ said Bwire.
