Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has further streamlined the need of education for all the major stake holders in the football circles – referees, administrators, fans, players, coaches, medical practitioners and the media.
After a successful beginners’ coaching course in Kampala at FUFA house barely a month ago, another similar arrangement has been extended to the Eastern region of Uganda.
At least 22 participants are currently attending a five day non-residential FUFA beginners’ coaching course, which is being conducted at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.
Two Confederation of African Football (CAF) trained local coaches’ instructors Jackson Nyima, also the FUFA Education officer and Asuman Lubowa, the Fufa Technical director are at the helm of this course.
According to Nyima, who is also coordinating the course, the course has been brought to introduce ex-football players to a new career after enjoying their playing days.
We appreciate FUFA for granting these participants such important courses for our coaches to allow them get introduced to coaching as a career.
The five day course is attended purely by beginners in coaching industry mostly from Eastern Uganda and will climax on Friday 2nd October 2015.
Current Jinja Municipal Council active player, Jimmy Jalendo, BUL F.C trainer, Hussein Kato, former BUL F.C player Ayub Isiko, FUFA Technical center staff Innocent Bagenayabo are some of the names attending the course.
Since the completion of fourth goal project in May this year, the federation has transformed the technical center a stop study point where marathon of courses are being held there to make optimum use of the facilities.
