The first ever FUFA Media course has officially kicked off on a sound footing at the Federation of Uganda Football Associations Technical Center in Njeru, Buikwe on Wednesday.
At least 50 journalists with expertise in football reporting are part of the four day course meant to equip and further harness the skills of the journalists (Online reporters, Written Press, photo journalists, radio, Television and Senior editors).
The journalists reported at Njeru on Tuesday evening and held the orientation session as guided by the FUFA Communications Manager Ahmed Hussein.

This is a momentous opportunity for FUFA to host such a course specifically for the media.
The media remains a key partner and stake holder in the development of the beautiful game.
As FUFA, we are glad that this course has been well attended and we believe it will further streamline the development of the game in the country
Course content:
The course modules are; FUFA and its Development Programmes, CAF and its Development Programmes, FIFA and its Development Programmes, Administration and Finance, Club Management, FUFA Statutes-Regulations and Decisions, FUFA Competitions, Event Management, General Management, Planning, Refereeing, Rights and Marketing, Communications and Fans’ engagement strategies.
The FUFA President, who is a Certified FIFA Instructor Eng. Moses Magogo kicked off the seassion with History of FUFA.
The other Instructors lined up for the course are; Justus Mugisha (FUFA 1st Vice President and FIFA Instructor), Edgar Watson (FUFA CEO), Kiiza Decolas (FUFA Finance Director), Sam Mpiima (CAF Instructor), (FUFA Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Humphrey Mandu, Ronnie Kalema (Chairperson of Uganda Football Referees Association-UFRA and FUFA Executive Member), Geofrey Odur Ojok (Chairperson of the FUFA Legal committee), Jackson Nyiima (FUFA Education Officer) and Bashir Mutyaba (FUFA Youth Development Officer).

While presenting on the FUFA and its Development programmes, Eng. Magogo welcomed the idea of the course for the media.
The media remains a key stakeholder in the growth of the beautiful game.
At FUFA, one of our key values is openness and promoting teamwork where the media remains an important pillar in the development process. The Communications Manager had a key role in securing this course which is part of our 5 year strategic plan.
This educative and interactive course will climax with the certification of participants who will officially be captured into the FUFA/FIFA Connect databank.
Besides the theory thesis on the different topics, the participants are also undertaking practical sessions on different match situations, pre and post match customs as well as internal matches amongst the participants.
