A joint announcement from FUFA, Cecafa and EABL has confirmed this Wednesday morning that fans will have a free entrance into Mandela National Stadium to watch eight of the ongoing Cecafa-Tusker Cup matches.

The resolution followed an administrative meeting attended by the FUFA president Lawrence Mulindwa, EABL Managing Director Alasdair Musselwhite and Cecafa General Secretary Nicholas Musonye on Tuesday. Eng. Moses Magogo the chairman of the Local Organizing Committee and CEO Edgar Watson were among other participants.

The decision was intended to give the fans a bonus in recognition of their continued support of football in the region. It was further resolved that for the Cranes match day on Friday (Kenya Vs Ethiopia and South Sudan Vs Uganda), women will still have watch the two games free as men part with only UGX 5000 and UGX 20.000 for the open stands and the pavilion respectively.

With 18 matches remaining Uganda soccer fans have much more to look forward to hosting East Africa’s most prestigious soccer  tournament-CECAFA TUSKER CUP.
