FIFA Com – Unity Women Football Workshop successfully concludes

The first ever FIFA Com – Unity Women football workshop has successfully concluded on Wednesday evening in Kampala.

Uganda was selected by Federation of International of International Football Association (FIFA) to host the FIFA Com – Unity workshop.

FIFA sent in a strong team of three experienced personel, Emy Cassaletti, Jacqui Shipanga (FIFA Instructors) and the FIFA Development Officer, Florie Ramogodi from Bostwana.

We thank FIFA for having given us this golden opportunity to host this event and hopefully, it is the turning point for Uganda’s football and women football in particular

The closing ceremony was also attended by National Council of Sports General secretary, Jasper Aligawesa.
The event had several presenters from the media, FUFA Communication and marketing teams, NGO’s, Government officials led by State minister for sports, Charles Bakabulindi, national team sponsors and other willing potential sponsors.
The FIFA Live your goals will be officially launched on Thursday, 4th December 2014 at the KCCA stadium in Lugogo, Kampala.
The programme was first launched in 2011 during the FIFA women world cup in Germany.
Since then, the Live your goals festival has been hosted in Costa Rica (South America), Japan (Asia), Azerbajian (Europe) and Ireland Republic (Europe).

On the African continent, the programme is set to be launched on Thursday at the KCCA Stadium, Lugogo in Kampala.

The Kampala festival is expected to attract over 500 young girls and women.

About The FIFA Live Your Goals:

The FIFA Live Your Goals is targeted for concept development, design and branding.
In the programme, football material, expertise and financial support is extended to the countries where the festival has been held.

Over 30,000 your girls and women have been recruited between 2013 – 2014
It is intended to inspire and empower young girls and young women with golden opportunities in life as perfect female role models and improve their standing in society
