FIFA-FUFA Planning & Strategic workshop successfully concludes

The FIFA-FUFA planning and strategic workshop successfully concluded at Kuku Hall of Grand Imperial Hotel in Kampala on Thursday.

FUFA President, Eng. Moses Magogo appreciated world’s football body for facilitating the four day workshop that is intended to plan for the future of Uganda’s football in the next four years.

“I am grateful to FIFA for all the support. Our sincere appreciation goes to the FIFA president, Giovanni Infantino for all the endeavors undertaken to see the future of Uganda’s football bright” Eng. Moses Magogo said at the closing ceremony.

Participants who attended the workshop were FUFA Executive committee members, FUFA Heads of Department, players and referee representatives, State House, Government officials, Uganda Premier league officials, club officials and other stake holders.

Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) instructor Edmund Coan, from the United Kingdom was joined by two other FIFA officials (Patrick Onyango and Govinden Thondoo) in facilitating the four day’s workshop.

The workshop centered on key areas of development of strategic goals,  creating that vital team environment, situation analysis, creation of strategic goals, group sessions (discussing strategic goals) and introduction of objectives vis-a-vis goals.

Before the start of business on day three, there was a minute of silence for Former Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) President Joao Havelange who died on Tuesday at the age of 100 years in Rio De Janiero.

FUFA Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Edgar Suubi Watson was the main workshop coordinator.
