FIFA Goal Project IV in Njeru excites Ashford Mamelodi

FIFA Southern and Eastern Region Development Officer Ashford Mamelodi has today paid a courtesy visit at FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

During his visit, Ashford could not hide his excitement with the way FUFA is handling FIFA supported projects in Uganda.

“I am really happy with the work done so far”  Mamelodi noted during his visit of FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru on Thursday.

Construction on Goal project IV at FUFA Technical Centre that was launched in April this year by FUFA President Eng Moses Magogo is in progress. is in progress is in progress.

“Since the activation of our development projects here in Njeru, everything is on the right path and I commend FUFA for that’ added Mamelodi.

‘I remember sometime back when we secured this land, it was bushy allover but now you can see the development. We are very close to achieving our goals’ said Mamelodi.

Accordingly, officials from the Infra-Tech Consult Ltd and Kabbs Technical Services, who are contracted by FIFA for this project, assured Mamelodi that work is nearing completion.

“We have a few months to hand over this project to our client. We are thrilled that both FIFA and FUFA are happy with work done so far’ noted Ibrahim Kabugo-one of the Engineers.

The FUFA CEO Edgar Watson Suubi who acted as an inspect-guide for Ashford is optimistic the Centre once completed will play a key role in helping Uganda’s football achieve its success.

‘As FUFA, we shall have offices here for the technical department and we are hopeful of this will activate the exhaustive usage of this place in time to come’ said Watson.

The Goal Project IV has an administration block, completion of the perimeter fence and VIP stand for the stadium.
