FIFA Rankings: Uganda Cranes improve, remain CECAFA’s best

Uganda Cranes has improved by a slot according to the latest FIFA / Coca Cola Rankings released on Thursday, 22nd December 2016 at the headquarters of the global footballing body in Zurich.

Uganda Cranes moved up one place from 73rd to 72rd with 490 point

Best in CECAFA Region:

Uganda Cranes is also the best performing country in the entire CECAFA region.

Kenya is 89th, Rwanda (92nd), Ethiopia (113th), Sudan (135th), Burundi (138th )and Tanzania at 156th.

Djibouti, Eritrea and Somalia are all joint ranked at 205th position with Anguilla, Bahamas, Gibraltar and Tonga.

Uganda’s Opponents at AFCON 2017:

Uganda’s opponents at the AFCON 2017 finals in Gabon have more or less the same story lines in the released rankings.

Egypt remains at 36th, Ghana stays at 56th and  Mali improves by one place to 60th.

The next FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published on Thursday 12 January 2017.
