The Uganda Cranes’ memorable 1-0 win over Nigeria at the Akwa Ibom stadium Uyo has given them an improvement in the latest Coca Cola FIFA rankings released today.

Uganda was 74th last month but has now moved up two places to 72nd and become the best ranked country in the CECAFA region.

Nigeria who lost to Uganda last month is 45th. World champions Germany are on top of the rankings while reigning African champions Ivory Coast -23rd.

Rwanda had enjoyed the summit in the region for a few months.
