The FUFA Physical Fitness Coaching Course specifically for Women Football clubs got underway on Saturday at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru with a total of 32 participants taking part.
Key among the participants is former Uganda Cranes player Godfrey Bukohore who recently returned from the USA and keen on venturing into coaching.
The other notable participants are Oliver Mbekeka, the former U20 Women’s National Team head coach, Kampala Queens forward Hasifah Nassuna and former Crested Cranes defender Gladys Nakitto among others.
The course targets fitness trainers from clubs that play in FUFA Women Super League, FUFA Women Elite League, Regional Leagues and academies.
The three-day course is organized under the FIFA-FUFA League Development Programme that was launched early this year and has had several capacity building interventions.
The aim of the course is to equip fitness coaches from Women Football Clubs with modern trends in football fitness to enable them meet the demands of the game.
