Uganda Cubs 6-0 Kawempe Tigers
KCCA stadium is new venue for the return leg of Uganda vs Seychelles
The Uganda National U-17 team scored six times against Kawempe Tigers as they continued with their preparations for the return leg of the Africa Youth Championship when they play Seychelles on Saturday 28th June at KCCA Stadium in Lugogo.
Shaban Muhamed scored four goals while Ssebutinde Charles and Pius Obua got one each in a game played at Njeru Technical centre.
The Cubs who defeated Mayuge 2-1 on Friday have now scored ten goals in their last three outings including the 2-1 win over Seychelles at Unity Stadium.
Meanwhile the venue for the Uganda vs Seychelles fixture has been moved from Nakivubo to KCCA stadium in Lugogo.
In a communication signed by the Nakivubo stadium Manager Mr. Ivan Lubega, he sighted the ongoing construction at the facility as the main reason for their inability to guarantee security and safety of the fans.
FUFA CEO Mr. Edgar Watson confirmed the communication from Nakivubo.
‘We have devised means of finding another venue which still meets the CAF standards required to host a fixture of this magnitude’ said Watson.
The charges remain unchanged as the fans will pay 5,000/= and 10,000/=
