Yassar Mugerwa is likely to start ahead of Noah Semakula as the only change coach Morley Byekwaso may make in the team that drew 2-2 with KCCA at Mandela National stadium on Tuesday.

Another striker Brian Toorach who missed the match with a knee injury and David Ndihabwe (ankle) are also available for selection when Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) takes on leaders Vipers SC at Buikwe stadium.

SCVU will be facing table leaders Vipers SC just two days after their share of spoils with champions KCCA and Byekwaso will need to preach a lot of patience among his defenders Engandu Fred, Savio Kabugo and Martin Mpuuga as Denis Iguma is expected to push forward more often.  Iguma and Yasser Mugerwa are credited with the goals in the previous outing.

As for Vipers SC, they have not lost at home in their last nine league matches. Their latest result was a 1-0 win over Express a week ago thanks to Farouq Miya’s effort.

A win will have Vipers consolidate their place on top of the table with 43 points.

Proline vs Soana

Proline FC are plotting a comeback as they host 5th Placed Soana FC at Lugogo. Proline FC have suffered a serious dip in form as they have suffered 9 losses in the last 11 games including the recent exit in the Uganda Cup.

Coach Bisaso Shafiq and his technical staff have now shifted their concentration on the league.

‘We have been facing challenges with scoring goals. But we have picked up the tempo although we lost against Police FC’ said Bisaso after the team’s training session on Thursday morning.

Proline will rely on the services of Lopidia Henry who has played a pivotal role in the midfield and shall utilize his shooting ability to get goals. Paddy Muhumuza comes back from suspension to reinforce the midfield. Mboma Samuel replaces Lukwago Charles between the posts and Kamada Ssebagala too returns to help in the hunt for goals.

Gift Ali who has been injured started individual training and is working on his fitness before he can start ball work.

The last meeting ended 2-1 in the favour of Soana at Kavumba in the first round.
