Leaders vs Newcomers

Table leaders Vipers Fc will be hoping to end the month of February with victory over newcomers Bright Stars FC at Kitende in the FUFA super league.  Vipers ended the first round on top of the table but have exchanged that position with Kira Young since the start of the second round. Vipers will also most likely play their last league game at Kitende and will be hoping to bid farewell to their fans with a bang as they await clearance on their banned stadium in Buikwe. However Vipers play Bright Stars who are unbeaten in the second round far. They have picked up respectable results against teams above them in the table- Simba (0-0) in Bombo, held SC Villa to a 1-1 draw and beat Soana 2-1. Vipers have collected six points from a possible nine points and a win today will see them remain top of the table on 38 points. The first round match between the two teams ended 1-0 in favor of Vipers at Nakivubo stadium.

Kira Young, URA could go to the summit

The result of the match between Vipers and Bright stars will give both Kira and URA a lot of hope of going top of the table if only they win their fixtures as well. If Kira and Vipers lose, a win for URA will be enough to see Paul Nkata’s team go top of the table.

URA lost their last outing (2-1) to SCVU in Lugazi and will play host to Proline today while Kira Young were not in action on Tuesday. Haruna Kebba’s boys have a game against Sc Villa at Nakivubo Stadium.
