Ghana and Swansea star player Andre Ayew was voted by Ugandan football fans as their favorite player featuring in the European Leagues in the year 2015.
The stylish players was later named during the Airtel FUFA Awards as the ‘Fans’ Favorite Player in the European Leagues’.
During the Awards held in December last year at Speke Resort Munyonyo, former Uganda Cranes Captain and now Chief Executive Officer of Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) Edgar Watson received the award on behalf of Ayew.
The Leader of Delegation for Ugandan contingent to the CHAN Finals in Rwanda Hamid Juma was also present.

On Friday afternoon at Kivu Lake Serena Hotel, the award was handed over to Ghanaian CAF Official Kofi Addae who will deliver it to Ayew.
Faruku Miya who was voted by all the 16 coaches of the Azam Uganda Premier League as the best player and FUFA CEO Watson handed over the award to Kofi.
‘I am glad to receive this award on behalf of Ayew. I will give it to the Ghana FA for delivery to the final recipient. We thank Ugandan fans for recognising Ayew as their most favorite player playing in the European Leagues’ said Kofi.
Ayew was part of the Ghana team that played Uganda Cranes at Namboole during the 2015 Nations cup campaign. Uganda beat Ghana 1-0 in 2014.
