FUFA BIG LEAGUE: Kirinya Jinja S.S tops Elgon group, fault Start for Masaka L.C

Hope Doves 1 – 2 Water F.C
Kumi United 0 – 1 Soroti Garage

Out of the five FUFA Big league fixtures played on Saturday, there was only one home victory for the hosting team.
At the Kabale Stadium, Kirinya Jinja S.S consolidated their grip at the summit of the Elgon group after beating Creamland 0 – 2.
This followed their win in Kasese on the opening day of the FUFA Big league.
Masaka Local Council, one of the three relegated teams from the top flight division last season started their big league account on a false note – losing 0 -2 at home to Masindi’s V.C.C.
At the Lango grounds in Lira, Sporting United overcame Ngora Fredda Carr in a very physical match.
At Namboole Stadium, Water football club kick started the Big league with a bright beginning after overcoming Hope Doves 1 – 2.
The other match on the day played was between Kumi United and Soroti Garage at the Boma grounds in Kumi.
The home team lost 0 – 1.
The FUFA Big league resumes on Thursday, 9th Independence with 7 games to be played.
