Police FC in fourth place have the same number of points (34) as Kitara and victory at home against Calvary would brighten their hopes of returning to top flight football.
In the other games to be played on Thursday, Adjumani TC host Northern Gateway in a relegation six pointer.
Adjumani are second from bottom on 17 points, six above Northern Gateway who sit at the base of the log.
Luweero United host Jinja North United while Kaaro Karungi take on Kyetume FC.
Friday will see Ndejje University host Kataka while Kaaro Karungi will return to action on Sidnau against Luweero United.
