With Ndejje University (Elgon group winners) and Rwenzori group champions Nyamityobora F.C having directly sealed their slots to the UPL, the struggle for the remaining slot continues.
On Thursday, during the first part of the play-offs, Paidha Black Angels eliminated Kabale Sharp 3-0 in the early kick off match.
Yudah Mugalu, Cromwell Rwothomio and Yusuf Ssozi scored for Paidha Black Angels.
In the second match, Kitara from the oil laden Hoima Municipality recovered swiftly from a goal down to overcome Mukono club, Kyetume 3-1 in post match penalties as normal time had ended one goal apiece.
A powerful header from Kitara’s Derrick Tekkwo neutralized Sharif Ssaka’s first half well tapped in goal to send the match into tense kicks from the penalty mark.
Samuel Adibo, Denis Monday and Roger Lukwiya were on target for Kitara but Tekkwo missed from close range.
Meanwhile, Charles Musoke scored for Kyetume as Richard Matovu and second half subsistute both hit the wood work and Sharif Ssaaka fired over the bar to send Kitara through.
Both Kitara and Paidha Black Angels will face off in the early kick off by 1:30 pm at the Star Times Stadium on Sunday as confirmed by the FUFA Competitions Director, Hajjati Aisha Nalule.
