Police FC and Kitara FC moved to the summit of the table in the FUFA Big League after securing victories on Matchday 19.
In the game played on Thursday, Police swept aside Calvary while Kitara edged past Lugazi to move to 37 points and join NEC FC at the top.
The Cops earned the biggest victory on Thursday, overcoming Calvary in Kavumba with a 4-0 scoreline.
Hassan Kikoyo, Reagan Male, Abdul Nsereko and Dennis Kalanzi scored a goal each for Police.
The Cops however ended the game with a player less after goalkeeper Davis Mutebi was sent off at the stroke of halftime.
Sam Ssimbwa got a sigh of relief after earning his first win since taking charge last month.
Kitara fought hard to overcome Lugazi in Masindi thanks to David Kasaija’s lone goal.
NEC could not stretch the lead at the top after playing out a one-all draw against Mbarara City in the top of the table clash.
The Army side had taken the lead through Jonathan Ssewankambo before Henry Kitegenyi found the equalizer for the Ankole Lions.
Mbarara City now drop to fourth place on 36 points, one behind leaders Kitara, NEC and Police.
In the other games played on Thursday, Booma defeated Soroti City with Moses Kasagga finding the goal.
Northern Gateway overcame Adjumani TC. 3-2 in the relegation six pointer while Kaaro Karungi edged past Kyetume.
Action continues on Friday with Ndejje University hosting Kataka while Kaaro Karungi will return to action on Sunday against Luweero United.
