Fixtures:
Elgon Group:
Maroons Vs Synergy – Luzira Prisons Stadium
Masaka L.C Vs Wandegeya – Masaka Recreational Stadium
Rwenzori Group:
Ngora Freda Carr Vs Hope Doves – Ngora High School Grounds
Namasagali F.C Vs Jinja Municipal Council – Namasagali College play grounds
Kumi United Vs Sporting United – Boma play grounds
Ndejje University Vs CRO – Ndejje University play grounds, Luwero
Uganda’s lowest tier football league, The FUFA Big League will resume on Thursday with 6 fixtures on card.
Two of these will be played in the Elgon group when Maroons F.C entertain Synergy at the Luzira Prisons Stadium and Masaka Local Council will lock horns with seasoned big league outfit, Wandegeya Football Club.
Rwenzori Group: Four games will be played in the Rwenzori group; Ngora Freda Carr will host Hope Doves at the Ngora High school grounds.
Ndejje University football club, one side that started with the inception of the FUFA big league in 2011 will entertain CRO at their Luweero based campus grounds as Kumi United hosts Sporting United at the Boma stadium.
Mutundwe Lions’ Fate:
The fate of Mutundwe Lions football club having missed three league games is yet to be determined by the FUFA Competitions committee as they are still included in the Saturday FBL games.
By virtual of the fact that Mutundwe Lions missed three games, they cease to be a valid competitor in the league owing to the FUFA Competitions rules.
The other FUFA Big League games will be held on Saturday before the week 5 fixtures wrap up on Monday of next week.
Promotion to UPL: Three teams will be promoted to the Uganda Premier League for the season 2015/16. The best team per group that finished top automatically earns a direct slot to the elite league.
The four teams (best two after champion per group) will then be engaged in a promotional play off to determine the third team.
Relegation:
Five teams per each FUFA Big league team will be relegated to their respective country regional leagues.
The bottom four earn a direct demotion to the lower regional leagues before the two side that finish 5th and 6th from bottom per group are engaged in a relegation play off to determine the 5th team per group to go down.
