The FUFA Drum 2018

29th July 2018

Buganda Province Vs Bukedi Province

West Nile Province Vs Busoga Province

The prestigious FUFA Drum tournament returns this weekend with the most exciting stage of the last four teams.

West Nile will host Busoga in Arua at Green Light Stadium while Buganda will play Bukedi at home in Mukono at Bishop Ss Grounds both games on Sunday 29th July.

The four Provinces are expected to put up their best football as they battle to put one foot into the main final to be played over two legs.

Bukedi’s starlet David Owori who has been in the CECAFA Club Championship with Vipers SC has returned to the team joining his counterpart Julius Poloto of KCCA FC. The two young lads are key players in the Bukedi team.

Buganda who eliminated Kampala in the quarterfinal on 2-1 on aggregate will rely on the services of Onduparaka’s striker Vianne Ssekajugo and KCCA FC forward Patrick Kaddu. Poloto and Kaddu will need to first sort out their CAF Champions League encounter with Esperance on Saturday before thinking abut their Ancestral teams.

The West Nile Province has stars like Fred Amaku and Gadafi Wahab but will need to overcome an equally well assembled Busoga team that boasts of Uganda Cranes players Isaac Isinde and Khalid Aucho. U-20 National team player Hamis Tibita is another key figure for Busoga.
