FUFA Drum: Lango, Acholi and Kampala win away on Match Day 4

The FUFA Drum (Match Day 4 – Saturday 14th April, 2018 Results)

  • Busoga 0-0 Teso
  • Bugisu 8-0 Sebei
  • Buganda 1-3 Lango
  • Kigezi 0-1 Acholi
  •  Rwenzori 1-3 Kampala

Lango, Kampala and Acholi managed to register victories away during the FUFA Drum match day 4 matches played on Saturday, 14th April 2018.

Kampala recorded a 3-1 win over Rwenzori at the Nyahuka grounds in Bundibugyo district.

Bright Stars FC captain and Uganda Cranes striker Nelson Senkatuka scored a hat-trick in the match.

Nyamityobora Football club winger Robert Mukhongotya got the consolation for the home side.

This was Kampala Province’s fourth victory in a row, making them the only team with a 100 percent record.

The FUFA President, Eng. Moses Magogo watched this game and he was the Chief Guest.

He presented over the man of the match plaque to Kampala’s Senkatuka with the cash prize of Shs. 100,000.

Lango recovered from a goal down to silence Buganda at the Bishops S.S play ground in Mukono.

Buganda took a quick lead through Allan Kayiwa’s powerful header in the 10th minute. It was quickly neutralized five minutes later with Dickens Okwir’s equalizer.

Okwi scored the second goal before substitute Wanok Petit  of Soana F.C capped the icing on the cake with the third goal.

At the Kabale Municipal Stadium, Hudu Mulikyi, a midfielder with URA FC was the hero with Acholi’s only goal in their 1-0 away win against Kigezi.

Goalkeeper Emmanuel Rubangakene of Acholi Province was named man of the match.

Bugisu recorded an emphatic 8-0 win at home against Sebei. James Alitho, a goalkeeper with Vipers Sports Club led the assault with a hat-trick. Alitho has played as a striker for Bugisu in the last three matches.

Other scorers were Milton Karisa, Nico Wadada, Hakim Magombe (two goals) and Malvin Wasswa.

Alitho was named man of the match.

The game between Busoga and Teso Provinces ended goal-less at the Kakindu Stadium.

There are three games on match day four that resume on Sunday.

Bunyoro entertains Bukedi at the Kiryandongo play ground, Ankole faces Karamoja at the Kyamatte ground in Ntungamo and Tooro will take on  West Nile at the Buhinga stadium in Fort Portal.

The tournament is played under the theme “Celebrating our Ancestry”
