The 2018 FUFA Drum match day 5 was boosted by the unveiling of Uganda Tourism Board as a sponsor for 5 fixtures from the Match Day 5and 6. UTB announced a sponsorship package of UGX 75M towards the tournament for the month of June only.
The best eight players in each game were awarded with the Man of the Match prize.
During the same weekend, 102.1 FUFA fm was looking out for the player who would score the 100th goal of the tournament. Prior to the weekend action, 88 goals had been scored. 19 were scored over the weekend to bring the total to 107.
Bukedi Province and Proline FC player David Owori received the 100th goal prize of Ush.100,000 from 102.1 FUFA fm awarded to him by the radio’s Administrator Meddy Sengendo at StarTimes stadium, Lugogo. Owori was also named Man of the Match that comes with 100,000/- and took home Ush.200,000 overall.

Owori scored the second goal on 12 minutes shortly after Joseph Owino had earlier opened the scores for Bukedi Province.

In West Nile on Sunday, Wahab Gadafi took the Man of the Match prize after scoring his first hat trick in Drum tournament.
He was on target in the 6th, 40th and 89th minutes in the 5:1 victory of his province West Nile over Karamoja at Barokoro Ground in Zombo.
In Fort Portal at Buhinga Ground, Nicolas Kagaba’s strike in the added time of the second half helped Tooro overcome Ankole 1-0.

Karim Ramathan of Rwenzori Province grabbed the Man of the Match prize after his sound performance in the goalless draw with Bunyoro Province at Nyakasanda in Kasese. He kept the backline tight.

On Saturday, Ndihabwe David of Kigezi Province was chosen Man of the Match after his tremendous display in the match despite his team suffering a loss to Buganda Province 1:0.

In Mbale, well-known Vipers SC goalkeeper James Alitho scored a vital goal through a penalty that led his Bugisu Province to a 1-0 victory over Busoga on Saturday.
He was named Man of the Match for his exceptional display during the match and he took the 100,000 prize money. He is now o 8 goals and leads the scorers’ charts

The Vipers SC player was once a dangerous striker at the same time a goalkeeper during his days with Mbale side CRO.
In Gulu, Acholi and URA FC’s Hudu Mulikyi was remarkable in the match that ended 1:1 between Acholi Province and Lango Province at Pece Stadium.
FUFA Finance Director Decolas Kiiza was Match Commissioner and presented the award to him with sh.100,000 prize.

In Kapchorwa Sebei’s Hendry Arapkwoita took the Man of the Match prize regardless of his Province losing at home to Teso Province by 4:2.
