FUFA Drum: Quarterfinals-Who is in, who is out?

Following action on match Day 6 on Sunday that also brought an end to the group stage fixtures, the FUFA Drum is now headed to the Quarterfinals.

7 out of 8 teams are already in the first knock stage of the Competition to be played on the home and away basis set for 30th June and 1st July for the 1st leg while 7thand 8th reserved for the return leg outings.

However on Sunday, the inaugural tournament recorded an interrupted match between Teso Province and Bugisu Province in Katakwi as fans walked on to the pitch in the 75th minute with the score still 0-0.

The FUFA Drum Committee and FUFA Competitions Committee will pronounce itself based on reports from the match officials which will be presented to the FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel headed by Deo Mutabazi.

The teams in the Quarterfinals so far are: Kampala, Bukedi, Busoga, West Nile, Ankole, Acholi and Buganda

Quarterfinals (Home and Away) 1st Leg

Q1 Saturday 30th June: To be determined after Teso vs Bugisu match 

Q2 Saturday 30th June: To be determined after Teso vs Bugisu match 

Q3 Sunday 1st July:  Bukedi vs Acholi

Q 4Sunday 1st July: Buganda vs Kampala

Teso Province team has Emma Okwi and Denis Onyango in their starting line up. They needed to win against Bugisu to progress, unfortunately the match never ended.

Quarterfinals 2nd Leg to be played on 7th and 8th July.

One Hundred Million Shillings (100M) has been staked by FUFA in cash Prizes for the tournament Selected games of the Match Day 5 and 6 were sponsored by Uganda Tourism Board to a tune of 75M Shillings.
