The FUFA Electoral Committee has released a road map for the by elections starting this weekend to fill vacant positions of delegates to the FUFA General Assembly.
The road map released indicates that nomination of presiding officers will end on 7th August 2022 but the by elections will run till 15th September 2022, a period that will cover handling petitions if any.
Article 22 section 13 of the FUFA statutes states; ‘The Executive Committee and the Chief Executive Officer shall take part in the General Assembly without voting rights. During their term of office, Members of the Executive Committee of FUFA shall not represent their respective FUFA Members as delegates to the FUFA General Assembly.’
The Electoral Committee will also conduct elections to elect a delegate representative for Sebei Province in the North East Region to the FUFA Assembly. Elections in Sebei Province were not conducted last year.
The table below shows FUFA Executive Committee members that were delegates hence the by-elections to have their vacant positions replaced.
