FUFA financial guidelines in the offing, Cranes players paid

The FUFA Finance Director Decolas Kiiza has revealed that the public should not worry at all following media reports that Uganda Cranes players have not been paid their match allowances after beating Sudan 2-0 on Saturday in the African Nations Championship qualifier at Nakivubo stadium.

‘We have not failed to pay the players. The new financial guidelines are in the offing and it is important for all our stakeholders to welcome the policies’ said Kiiza.

‘The players and officials who full filled the requirements have been paid as the money has been transferred on to their accounts’ added Kiiza.

The new policies at FUFA don’t allow huge sums of monies to be withdrawn and later paid to people.

Kiiza also clarified that the Uganda Cranes players in camp are not offered bonuses but the FUFA President promised them $1000 each if the team qualifies for the CHAN Finals to be hosted by Rwanda next year.

Al the players who provided FUFA with bank account details have been paid through the electronic method. We shall not change from that system’ added Kiiza.

The players receive training and match allowances only.
