FUFA Juniors League 2015/16: Unbeaten Vipers, Bright Stars maintain winning run

The second edition of the FUFA Juniors league returned on Sunday with different matches played.

Vipers Junior Academy team overcame their counterparts from Maroons, winning 2-0 away to maintain the unbeaten run.

Crafty midfielder, Junju Methodius gave the away team the lead with a decent free-kick after the national U-17 overlapping left back, Alex Komakeck was fouled about 25 yards away from goal.

The second goal was scored by Bashir Mutanda in the second half to extinguish any chance of a come back for the home side.

At the Tobacco play ground in Jinja, the home team, Bul Football Club rallied to a late surge winning the game 2-0 over the visiting Lweza Orange Bridage.

After a goal-less opening 45 minutes of action, the match spark to life when Musa Suzi Sadiq opened the scoring with 14 minutes left on the clock,.

Habita Hamisi buried the match for the hosts with another strike in the added minutes of extra time.

At Nabweru play ground, home side, Bright Stars Academy team won 2-1 on the day the young Express Junior team. Bright Stars FC has now won all its opening four games, three of those played away.

Pariyo Jimmy and Shafik Semyalo scored for Bright Stars FC. Faisal Sekyanzi converted a penalty for the home side before he played in Kampala region match for St Mary’s against Stegotta. He scored an acrobatic goal for St Mary’s to win the game 1-0.
