FUFA Juniors League: BUL FC Junior Team, KCCA FC Soccer Academy shine as League Resumes

The FUFA Juniors League 2025 returned to action over the weekend with Match Day 6 encounters after a lengthy break that allowed the Uganda Cubs (U17) to focus on their successful qualification campaign for the FIFA U17 World Cup at the AFCON finals in Morocco.

The highlight of the weekend saw BUL FC Junior Team and KCCA FC Soccer Academy pick up important victories as they reignited their charge in the race for top honours. On Saturday, April 26, KCCA FC Soccer Academy put up a dominant performance to sweep aside Police FC with a commanding 3-0 win, while URA FC Junior Team were held to a 1-1 stalemate by Soltilo Bright Stars Junior Team in a closely contested affair.

Sunday, April 27, provided more drama as BUL FC Junior Team overcame Maroons FC Junior Team 3-1 away from home, showcasing their attacking prowess. Elsewhere, Mbale Heroes Junior Team cruised to a 3-0 win over Lugazi FC Junior Team, while NEC FC Junior Team impressed with a 3-1 triumph against SC Villa Junior Team.

In other matches, UPDF FC Junior Team edged Mbarara City Junior Team 1-0 in a tight contest, and Express FC Junior Team were held to a goalless draw by Wakiso Giants Junior Team. Meanwhile, the fixture between Kitara FC Junior Team and Vipers SC Junior Team at The Royal Park in Butema is yet to be played and will complete the Match Day 6 schedule.

The juniors are expected to continue with the momentum in the coming weeks as the league gathers pace after the long break.
