FUFA has confirmed 13th July 2018 as the date for the first ever sports media engagement Day in Ugandan football.
It will be the start of the FUFA Media week that will culminate into another course for the Club Media officers in the Uganda Premier League and FUFA Member Associations.
With football growing each passing day, FUFA and Uganda Sports Press Association (USPA) will hold a one day session at which the local soccer governing body will welcome questions from the members of the sports media on any topic about Ugandan football.
The announcement was made by FUFA Communications Manager Ahmed Hussein on Wednesday morning during the FUFA weekly press conference at FUFA House in Mengo.
‘The FUFA Media Day will give the sports media an opportunity to learn more about the activities, systems, projects and how the game is run in the country by FUFA’ said Hussein.
‘Such sessions allow FUFA to reach out to the sports media and also create a platform for them to learn more about the institution and also ask questions’ added Hussein.
The One day FUFA Media Week will be held at Imperial Royale on Friday 13th July starting 9 O’clock in the morning.
‘Communication is important in football development and media adds value in the process. We are very much aware of the kind of support the media has extended to the sport through their balanced reports. FUFA will be heavily represented during the session to interact with the sports media on the day’
FUFA will work hand in hand with USPA to have a successful maiden FUFA Media Week.
