Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) President Eng. Moses Magogo has signed a long term pact with Morocco FA in a bid to improve the technical areas of Ugandan football.
Eng. Magogo who is in the North African country on official duties, met with Morocco FA President Mr. Lekjaa Fouzi where bilateral talks were held in relation to football for both soccer power houses in their respective regions.
The key areas to be covered by the partnership include exchange programmes of technical and administrative staff, hosting of national and club teams from either country by the other, training camps, sharing football knowledge, best practices and experiences.
‘It is our strategy to create as many partnerships and relationships as possible for the betterment of our game. It is another milestone to have the Federal Republic of Morocco Football Association as our development partners and I am definitely excited’ said FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo.
With local football regaining its footing in the past three years, FUFA is convinced such partnerships will lead the country to the Promised Land with the 2019 Cameroon Project already in the offing.
‘Our next move with this partnership is to take a delegation of football stakeholders to Morocco to understand how Government, Federation and Corporate sponsors are undertaking massive infrastructure development. It is amazing work going on in Morocco’ added Magogo.
During Magogo’s reign the Uganda Cranes have been able to go back to the AFCON for the first time in 39 years and such partnerships can only cement such football moments.
