FUFA has learnt of the death of Mzee Nikaroni Apitta, founder of Boroboro Tigers FC. The Public servant who was the father of Commissioner for Sports Mr. Lamex Omara Apitta passed away on Tuesday 8th August, 2017 at his home in Boroboro, Lira District.
FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo was shocked upon receiving the sad news.
‘We all know the value of the old man towards the development of football in Northern region. The country has lost a dedicated servant of the beautiful game’ said FUFA President.
‘Our Condolences go out to the Commissioner of Sports in the Ministry of Education and Sports Mr. Lamex Omara Apitta on the loss of his father Mzee Nikaroni Apitta’ added Magogo.
‘We pray that the Almighty keeps your family, relatives and friends strong during these trying times’
Burial will be held on Saturday 19th August, 2017 in Amoro Sub Country, Lira.
