The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) and the entire women’s football community are mourning the untimely passing of FUFA Delegate and Lady Doves FC Chief Executive Officer, Angeyango Scovia.
The late Angeyango will be deeply missed in football circles for her dedication, passion and contribution to the growth of the women’s game in Uganda. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, Lady Doves FC, friends and colleagues during this difficult time.

FUFA President Hon. Magogo Moses Hassim described Angeyango Scovia as a young and dedicated woman who loved football so much. She was a leader who believed in giving back to the game and always supportive to women football.
Magogo highlighted that Scovia’s contributions were immeasurable and that her absence will be felt by the football community, especially those associated with the FUFA Assembly, Lady Doves FC, Kitara Region Football Association and Women football at large.
On behalf of FUFA Executive, Delegates, Members of FUFA, Secretariat staff and the wider football community, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family of Scovia, friends, relatives, Kitara Region Football Association, Lady Doves, Uganda Women Football Association and the National Women Football Leagues.
Scovia served as a committed delegate to the FUFA Assembly, representing the National Women Football Leagues since 2021. She had recently been re-elected for the 2025–2029 term.
Scovia also served on the FUFA Tv Cup Organising Committee and her most recent assignment with the committee was in Gulu where St. Joseph’s College Layibi hosted the tournament.
Burial arrangements will be communicated in due course.
May her soul Rest in eternal Peace.
