Aspiring FUFA Presidential candidate, Mujib Kasule will have to wait till Monday 19th June toknowabout the nomination forms he submitted to the FUFA Electoral Committee on Friday evening.
The Electoral Committee found his forms lacking but they will be in position to notify him about the status of his nomination after verifying the documents he submitted.
Kasule first turned up at FUFA House on Friday at 2:15p.m and requested for time to get more papers.
Minutes after 2:30 p.m, the time he had indicated to return the nomination forms, Kasule appeared at the front gate of the FUFA House.
He thus said that he required more time to sort himself out as he claimed that he needed to go to the police to report the matter following an incident with his car.
Eventually, he appeared at 4:33 p.m shortly after the nomination of the incumbent, Eng. Moses Magogo.
Kasule’s forms submitted were found wanting and the chairperson of the FUFA Electoral committee, Samuel Bakiika informed him and the media that they will meet again on Monday to come up with the final decision and way forward.
‘We thank the aspiring candidate Mujib Kasule for fulfiling the promise of returning the forms as programmed. Even though he came late, we still gave him a chance to look at the forms and papers submitted. However, there lots of things missing like signatures for executive committee members, pass port size photographs, clarification of academic documents from UNEB, letters of recommendation from the clubs and football associations’ Bakiika noted.
Mujib promised to comply with the requirements but cast the blame game on the limited time for him to present the required papers.
no short cuts
