Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) President Eng. Moses Magogo in a special way has lauded the media for the extensive coverage of women football in Uganda.
While addressing the media during the press conference held on Tuesday at FUFA House in Mengo, the FUFA President who was flanked by the Federation Chief Executive Officer Edgar Watson singled out the coverage accorded to the women football programmes in the country especially the recently concluded FUFA Women Elite league.

This is such a big milestone in Uganda Women football. I would like to thank the media for the professional coverage given to women football in Uganda .It is because of you that women football is popular in Uganda.
Several activities have been lined up on FUFA’s calendar for women’s football and among these activities-is the Kenya versus Uganda friendly in Kisumu on Sunday 3rd July 2016 , the 2016 CECAFA Women’s Championship, Uganda Cup women’s version and continental engagement and Club licensing to start next season.
No one has forced us to engage in these activities .We know that they are costly but we believe in the activities because they give us a step ahead.
Uganda has held the FUFA Women Elite League for two consecutive years, Mama Becca Women’s Day Cup, Schools football competitions and while a knock out tournament has been lined up for next season.
