FUFA President: Hosting international tournaments will enable us to upgrade facilities

FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru has undergone facelift recently and the new additions at the facility have given it a fresh look.

The renovation works and setting up of new amenities has taken over two months in order to prepare for the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers that got underway on Saturday.

FUFA President Hon. Magogo Moses Hassim who was in attendance as the tournament kicked off was impressed with the work done and indicated FUFA will always try to improve the facility by hosting such international engagements.

‘As FUFA, we decided that instead of using money to hire other facilities, we shall try to host such competitions at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru because this will task us to make improvements on the facility’ stated the FUFA President.

Some of the new changes include, construction of new dressing rooms to add to the existing ones (now the centre has 4 dressing rooms), an expansive area for the VIPs-on the opposite side of the dressing rooms, parking for the teams behind the dressing rooms and sanitary facilities for the fans.
