FUFA has issued a message wishing the Muslim communities in Uganda and beyond a happy Idd day celebrations.
“As a football body, we wish all our Muslim Brothers and Sisters in sports circles, the people of Uganda and beyond the peaceful celebrations as we mark this great Iddi day”, reads part of the message officially signed by the FA President Eng. Moses Magogo.
Magogo called upon celebrants to observe discipline as they mark their day and urged the football fans, players and administrators to take advantage of this holly day to bury their hatches and get united for a common cause.
“May this day bring us more together and leave us more united than ever before. Let’s observe discipline because this is what Prophet Mohammed preaches. To the players, fans and administrators of football regardless of their religions, may the kind hand of Allah touch all of you and bless your efforts towards football development”, writes the FA leader.
Meanwhile the FUFA Super League matches will continue today despite being a public holiday. Kiira Young takes on CRO at Namboole, Proline plays Vipers at Lugogo KCCA ground and Soana host SC Villa in Kavumba, Wakiso.
