The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has reiterated its commitment to standardising football competitions by enforcing strict guidelines on the use of the Official FUFA Ball. This measure is intended to safeguard the integrity of matches and ensure consistency across all FUFA Organised Competitions (FOC) and FUFA Authorised Competitions (FAC).
According to Rule 32 of the FUFA Competitions Rules, only the Official FUFA Ball is permitted for use on match days. No referee is allowed to officiate a FOC or FAC fixture where an unauthorised ball is in play, unless the Tournament Organising Committee (TOC) provides written approval from FUFA.
Any breach of this regulation by referees, organising committees, or host teams will attract disciplinary action in line with the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code.
In addition, FUFA has directed that for the Men’s First Division League, clubs must always ensure that a minimum of fifteen balls are available with the ball crew to maximise playing time and maintain the pace of matches.
Through these measures, FUFA continues to emphasise professionalism, order, and fairness in all its competitions.
