As it has been a policy annually to award the best employees at the Federation of Football Associations (FUFA).
The year 2020 is a blessing for a former referee and now FUFA Staff Mansoor Kimumwe and Competitions Department official Sarah Birungi who were awarded the best employees for 2019 during the annual FUFA retreat party at the Arch Apartments and Hotel in Ntinda over the weekend.
The awarding of employees annually is a motive that FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo introduced to build a strong and dedicated staff that can team up to archive the vision of becoming the number one football nation in Africa on and off the pitch.
During the ceremony, Eng. Magogo commended FUFA employees for the hard work towards developing the game of football in 2019 and further emphasized teamwork among the staff.
“It is your hard work that led to the success of football in 2019. I and my executive appreciate the work you do for football. As the football leader, I emphasize you to build strong teamwork among yourselves in order to archive our vision of becoming the number one football nation in Africa on and off the field.” Said Eng. Magogo.
The Staff had a long day of activities that began with a presentation session from the CEO Edgar Watson and his deputy in charge of services Humphrey Mandu who presented to the staff the targets of 2020.
However, setting the targets for staff, Eng. Moses Magogo specified what is required in 2020 for all the departments, Marketing and Communications, National Teams, Competitions, ICT, Development, and Finance.
Towards midday, the staff together with members of the executive were taken through a team building session that was conducted by a group of experts from Precious Real Moments.
Prior to the end of the retreat, the best employees were awarded by the FUFA President and had a moment of applause from the audience.
FUFA Executives, Darius Mugoye (2st Vice President), Ronnie Kalema, Hamid Juma, Hajji Abdu Sekabira, Chris Kalibbala, Mukidi Kalyebala, and Richard Ochom attended the retreat.
Additionally, FUFA Region General Secretaries were also part of the retreat since they are employees of FUFA. They are fulltime FUFA Staff and deal with the day to day running of the Region FA activities.
