The hard work was done. The physical fitness and medical tests were performed but the results mattered a lot as they contributed to the final list that was submitted by FUFA to the world soccer governing body for FIFA badges next year.
‘This was a recommended list by FUFA but FIFA reserves the right to award a referee a badge for next year’ said FUFA’s new chairman of the Referees Standing committee (FRSC)Chris Kalibala during the weekly Press conference at FUFA House.
The list has 25 proposed names by the FRSC that was forwarded to FIFA;
Male referees; Miiro Brian Nsubuga, Ssali Mashood, Muhabi Alex, Batte Denis, Sabilla Chelangat Ali and Bakisula Ali.
Assistant referees; Ssonko Mark Balikoowa Musa Ngobi, Okello Lee, Kayondo Samuel, Katenya Ronald, Bugembe Hussein and Masembe Isa
Beach Soccer: Mugerwa Shafic, Kintu Ivan Bayige and Ssenteza Muhammad
Women referees: Ssemambo Aisha Nabikko, Namubiru Irene, Akoyi Anna and Sinamakosa Zubeda
Women Assistant referees; Nakitto Marex Nkumbi, Nagadya Catherine Cynthia, Mutonyi Jane, Nantabo Lydia Wanyama and Atuhaire Docus.
