Week 28 of the FUFA Super league gets underway this Friday with 6 different fixtures at various venues.

Proline football club, currently lagging two places from bottom in the 14th place (with 21 points) hosts the league’s defending champions, Kampala City Council (KCC), who lead the 16 team log with 49 points, same as SCVU.

Owing to the fact that Proline is desperately fighting against relegation and KCC are targeting consolidating the lead and win their 8th league title are two factors that classify the fixture as a thriller.

Another game envisaged in the same periphery is that of the second place Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) against the army side, Simba. The two sides will play at Namboole Stadium.

Fred Kajoba’s Simba is 12th with 26 points, facing intense pressure from the chasing pack of Entebbe (23) and Proline (21).

Express fresh from that surprising 3– 2 win over KCC at home on Tuesday faces Coach Livingstone Mbabazi’s Bright Stars at the Mutesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.

Both sides would wish to run away to safety to avoid the possible relegation mathematics.

Angelo Lonyesi’s Police FC hosts Alex Gitta’s Entebbe at Kavuma Recreation Stadium whie third placed URA travels to the usually unpredictable Mbale Municipal Stadium to face the bottom placed Child’s Restoration Organization (CRO).

CRO has already held SC Villa, Express FC, Kira Young and Vipers to draws in the second round at Mbale.

Vipers start life minus their long serving doctor, John Ssenkumba (RIP) as they make that short journey to Nakivubo war memorial stadium to play the 16 time record league champions, Sports Club Villa.

Meanwhile FUFA Vice president (FSL) Mujib Kasule has confirmed that a minute of silence will be observed in today’s FSL matches in memory of the departed John Ssenkumba who passed away in a motor accident in Adjumani. Ssenkumba was Vipers FC’s doctor.
