FUFA Super League: URA draws with Express to go joint top

Tuesday Full Time results

Express FC 1-1 URA FC

Proline 0-1 Sc Villa

URA Football club have gone joint top of the table with Vipers on a better goal difference following a 1-1 draw with Express FC at wankulukuku stadium today in the FUFA Super League. Sam Seknoomi netted the game’s opening goal after the break but Allan Kyambadde who was part of the Uganda Cranes squad in the CHAN finals in South Africa cancelled out the taxpayers lead. URA missed the chance to break away from Vipers with two points. The result leaves both URA and Vipers on 36 points each. URA’s goal difference of 19 is better than that of Vipers (14). Express moved just one place to 12th as they dislodged Proline to drop a place down to 13th but both are tied on 16 points with the red eagles having a better goal difference though still in negative.

At KCCA stadium, Proline’s search for their first win of the second round still goes on.  This evening they were beaten 1-0 by SC Villa thanks to Karim Ndugwa’s 90 minute winner. Nduggwa might soon become the master of scoring last minute goals as he did the same  last week when he scored in his team’s 2-1 over Kira Young.

SC Villa have now moved to 5th position on 33 points.
