FUFA Suspends Uganda Super League

The FUFA Executive meeting sitting at the Federation headquarters in Mengo this Thursday afternoon has suspended the Uganda Super League with effect from this Thursday January 19, 2012. The Federation has also given an ultimatum of ten days to enable the clubs show compliance to:

  • Enforcing the ban of Mr. Kavuma Kabenge and Ssegawa Ebil by the Disciplinary Committee
  • Re-constitute the USL Management Board to comprise 16 Directors
  • Re-align statutes in accordance to association football rules
  • Reinstate Hoima-Busia FC in the Uganda Super League.
  • If the clubs do not comply by January 30, 2012 the Federation will have no option but withdraw the authority to run the Uganda Super League as provided for in the FUFA constitution.

In the meantime, the Federation has fixed Monday January 23, 2012 to meet all the sponsors of the Uganda Super League and the Uganda Super League Club owners in a joint meeting at Imperial Royale Hotel at1300hrs. (Rogers Mulindwa, Head of Communications,FUFA)
