FUFA President Engineer Moses Magogo, Chief Executive Officer Edgar Watson and Finance Director Decolas Kiiza are in Djibouti for the FIFA Forward Programme Workshop organised for the CECAFA region Member Associations (MAs)
The workshop is aimed at taking through all MAs on how to access, manage and put to positive productivity of the available funds for various but approved football activities under FIFA’s new programme (FFP).
We aim to improve the impact and efficiency of our investment in development, achieving better and more sustainable results so that football can thrive everywhere.
The FFP caters for specific needs and challenges as identified and presented to FIFA by each association. FIFA gives each Member Association support extending beyond finances so as they can get the best results on the priority areas picked out.
‘It is a valuable workshop and will guide us on how we shall execute our work. We have already identified priority areas that were presented to the Assembly in Luweero in October this year’ FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo told fufa.co.ug
‘The 5 year strategic plan of its kind at FUFA was presented to the Assembly in Luweero and will be supported by the grants we shall receive from FIFA’ added the FUFA President.
FIFA will increase its financial support towards Member Associations and football development to 5 million USD per four-year cycle for from 1.6 million dollars.
This means each association has access to 750,000 US dollars per year for football projects as identified by the MA.
And every association also receives up to 500,000 US dollars per year for running costs in areas including administration and governance.
